Will the new Monkeydog be Chipper or Mulligan?
Oh my Mom has been thinking again. She and Dad may change Chipper’s name to Mulligan. We all know that in golf mulligan means do over, but he really is not a do over. He is our second golden. Mom needs some of your thoughts on this change. He has been in the family for less than 48 hours.
What do you all think?
Until next time,
Izzy signing out.

Hmmm- How about Eagle? Every golfer takes a mulligan but how many can say they got an Eagle? (Notice I didnt say”shot” an Eagle- that wouldnt be good.
Or how about Jack “The Golden Bear” (Nicklaus) …Golden- get it… hahahaha
But Chipper is good too…and so is Mulligan….Ohhh….my monkeybrain hurts from thinking about this!
(He is so darn cute- but most Monkeybutts are)

I like your ideas. Jack is good, but would be hard because a friend of Mom’s had a dog named Jack and he turned into a nasty boy. So Mom does not think that would be good to have those memories return.
Eagle is good too, I am trying to listen to how it would sound for Mom and Dad to be calling him. Mom will run that one by Dad too.
Thanks for the input.

Mom said if she were naming her dog after her golf game – his name would be Shank, Plop (the sound of a ball hitting the water) Thwack (sound of a ball hitting a tree or ……….”@#@###**!!”

Samson you are too funny. Plop sounds like him when he walks. They have settled on Mulligan. Dad really likes it. Little brother seems to like it too.

Thanks, Dad really liked Mulligan. Mom said Chipper was a tad hard to remember, she is getting old you know.

They finally landed on Mulligan. Both had suggestions at work and Dad kept coming back to Mulligan.

Chili Dawg’s first name was Chipper. We changed it (obviously). I like both names. Either way since it was originally Chipper, it’s a sign that he’s going to turn out to be a good dog 🙂

You are right Chili Dawg, Chipper is going to be a good dog. He is a quick learner. Of course I am teaching him well.

I think they both sound cute. I like Chipper because my first thought is taht he’s a happy dog – he’s chipper! Mulligan though – I know you mentioned it means a do-over, but after a mistake, right? It sounds cute – but to me it makes me think of mistakes.
Bogey would be a very cute name – but I know that’s not a good thing in golf!
If you do go with Mulligan, what would you call him for short?
Whatever you decide on, he’s adorable!

Jackie,
Yes Mulligan does mean do-over, Mom and Dad decided the do-over is for his name. I am not sure what Mom will call Mulligan for short, Mull, or Mully. She is not really sure. All I know is I really like this boy. I let him lay by me all the time.
