I went for my first walk!!!

Yeah, today Mom and Dad took me for a short walk. Mom put that harness on me. She adjusted it a few times. I am not sure if she is happy with how it fits yet, but I know she will get it. Dad went down the stairs first just incase I needed help. I am Mr. Independent and went down those steps like a champ. Mom used the flexi thing and I just loved it. I went ahead of them, then stopped to wait. Then ahead I went again. It was a blast. I think we went for 1/4 of a mile today. Mom said next time we go Izzy will go too.

Oh, I also have my shirt off. I have been good, no licking. It sure feels good to have it off.

What a wonderful Saturday for my family and me!!!

Yeah Ted! Mr independent for sure! Yup those stairs can be tricky, we try to slow Rudy down and help him out, but he just seems to want to do his own thing! I still stay right next to him the whole way down. I think for you it’s a little different since you had surgery on your front leg.

It makes me so happy to hear that your recovery is going so well:) And you had a reward of a walk on top of it all! Yea Yippee Ted E. Bear!

Hey Ted! Good for you! We also have been going for short strolls outside, just not on a leash. This morning we had to go on a hunt for the premier potty spot since Dakota apparently needs to check at least 25 places before he decides. But at least he’s not trying to lift his leg anymore.

    So, what’s the flexi thing?

So happy to hear you’re hopping along so well, Ted!

Shari, tell Dakota the flexi thing is the flexi leash. I have more independence with it. I can hop ahead of Mom and wait for her to catch up. A regular leash is only so long.

That is wonderful! I don’t think Sammy could do 1/4 mile, so it sounds like Ted is super boy 🙂
    Great job,

Well done, Ted. Stairs are a little tricky for front amps; Catie occasionally still gets bummed out by certain staircases. We have a split level and she wouldn’t go down the stairs to the third, and family room, level for many months. I think they’re just a tad steeper than the ones leading to the upper bedroom level.

And well done on the walk. Attaboy, Ted! You rock. 🙂
